Swathing cuts to community based debt advice services have been averted, but the Money and Pensions Service must now be changed for good.

We are Debt Advisers responds to the Money and Pensions Service update on commissioning of debt advice of 17th December. We call for the immediate suspension of all procurement and for full consultation to take place including with respect to funding allocations and the model for future debt advice provision.

The Money and Pensions Service is with-holding the Equalities and Vulnerability Impact Assessment, and We Are Debt Advisers has now made a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office.
